Horse Racing:
1:30 – Envoi Allen has a huge chance, Elliott horses ran well today and he may be seen as a festival banker but I would only put it in accumulators rather than lump it as a single. Sporting John is interesting though, it fits firmly into the could be anything category and if a lot of bookies are boosting Envoi Allen then it may be a player. The Big Breakaway is a horse with potential and is also interesting.
2:10 – I like Copperhead a lot here, this is an unexposed improver and I prefer it to Champ and Minella Indo and will put a point on it (9/2). Allaho is a big danger in my eyes off the front and Slate House likes it around here as an E/W alternative.
2:50 – Dame De Compagnie is the one for me here, it’s quite short but has proven form around here for a yard that have just had a big day today. I’ll do 1pt E/W at 6/1 (5 places)
3:30 – This is the best race of the day, I like Chacun Pour Soi here but not enough to bet it at 11/8, Dynamite Dollars could ruffle feathers at a price and Defi Du Seuil obviously has a huge chance here.
4:10 – I could look an idiot after this but I’m taking on Tiger Roll with Easysland (2pt 7/2). Tiger Roll doesn’t seem quite as strong this year and the yard of Easysland have said they can’t see this one getting beat. With proven form over cross country fences, I fancy this one to spring the upset.
4:50 – This is a brutal race, I’d like Fraser Island at a big price if the ground dries up since I think it could be well handicapped having finished behind a mudlark last time on unsuitable ground.
5:30 – It’s tough to see Appreciate It getting beat here but 15/8 in a race full of unexposed horses makes me a watcher rather than a backer.
Review of Yesterday:
I thought the previews went well minus the first race where I discounted the winner. The Conditional won, our play of the day won easily and taking on market principals in the Arkle was the right play.
Also I quite like Dortmund tomorrow night but have been burnt enough recently on higher priced football plays to leave it alone. Biathlon tips will be up on Thursday to add to Cheltenham profits.
