Betting Tips 12/03/2020

Wednesday’s Results:

Units Staked: 5

Units Returned: 18.2

P/L: +13.2pts

Weekly P/L: +14.95pts

Biathlon:

Fourcade and Fillon Maillet to win men’s sprint: 0.5pt each (11/1) (6/1)

Boe is way too short here having missed 3 in the mass start last week and 2 misses here would give him not much chance of winning. He is obviously the correct favourite with the best chance of winning but him being 1/2 opens up value on the others so it’s worth taking a stab on the 2 next best guys in the field this year.

Horse Racing:

1:30 – I like Samcro and Itchy Feet here. Samcro is coming off a wind op and should travel well into the race while Itchy Feet will be finishing strongest if still in touch on the turn for home. I’m not confident enough though to bet either heavily.

2:10 – Gordon Elliott won this last year and has a huge chance again with The Storyteller here, A Great View is interesting at a bigger price having been aimed at this race all season.

2:50 – I like Min here, it has strong form over this distance and ran seriously well last time as a prep for this. A Plus Tard comes into this fresh and is very interesting while Frodon should give this a good go from the front.

3:30 – Paisley Park is going to be the rage for this but I prefer Summerville Boy (1pt E/W 17/2) as a bet. If this horse doesn’t make too many errors jumping then it will be finishing as well as anything and the hill will play to its strengths.

4:10 – No real standout for me here, Simply The Betts has clearly got a huge chance but is very short and a lot of Irish horses have chances here.

4:50 – I’m very keen on Colreevy (7/2 2pt) here. Ruby Walsh mentioned it as a standout and the current favourite will have to shoulder a penalty for beating our one last time. If we get into a rhythm at the front then we will take some pegging back.

5:30 – Can’t see any standout bets here and would rather move onto tomorrow
