Hey everyone, I’m back for another round of Premier League Predictions. Last week was a bit below average and I will be endeavouring to get back to the level of a couple of weeks ago this time. Without further ado, here are my picks for round 10 of the Premier League Season
Leicester vs Arsenal
Odds: Leicester – 7/5 Draw – 12/5 Arsenal – 19/10
My Prediction:
I like Leicester to win this one. Arsenal have been playing a bit better as of late but the defensive issues are still there to see and they’ve been poor in all of their away games so far this season. Leicester have fixed things up nicely after a recent dip in results and now look to be playing some of their best attacking football, they can score a few goals here and win this comfortably.
Leicester 3-1 Arsenal
Burnley vs Brentford
Odds: Burnley – 13/8 Draw – 23/10 Brentford – 17/10
My Prediction:
Brentford have made it through a pretty nasty run of fixtures in a solid position in the table and can now look to put some wins together. But I see them drawing this one, the defence hasn’t kept a clean sheet as of late and Burnley are showing a bit more infront of goal now with Cornet leading the way last weekend. They should eventually put some results together though holding a lead still seems to be a major issue for them. I see Burnley taking the lead but getting pegged back for a 1-1.
Burnley 1-1 Brentford
Liverpool vs Brighton
Odds: Liverpool – 2/9 Draw – 11/2 Brighton – 11/1
My Prediction:
Brighton got hammered by Man City last time out and I see this being a similar story. They’ve had a general loss of form and Liverpool are right at the top of their game right now so this should be a comfortable day out at Anfield. Mo Salah looks unstoppable right now and expect him to get on the scoresheet again in a 3-0 win against an out of form side.
Liverpool 3-0 Brighton
Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
Odds: Man City – 1/7 Draw – 15/2 Palace – 16/1
My Prediction:
I like what Vieira is doing at Crystal Palace even if the results haven’t fully been there and they can keep this game close and Palace will definitely fancy scoring given that City have been prone to switching off at the back. Man City have had problems with Palace in the past but with the form guys like Foden and Silva are in they should have enough to come through what could be a tricky test.
Man City 2-1 Crystal Palace
Newcastle United vs Chelsea
Odds: Newcastle – 8/1 Draw – 15/4 Chelsea – 4/11
My Prediction:
Chelsea are back to scoring multiple times again having played a couple of weaker teams and with Newcastle looking fairly dreadful at times this season, they’ll fancy their chances of scoring more here. Newcastle were lucky to draw last weekend and I don’t see them getting any sort of bounce until January. Chelsea can win this one 3-0 and keep themselves top.
Newcastle 0-3 Chelsea
Watford vs Southampton
Odds: Watford – 11/5 Draw – 23/10 Southampton – 13/10
My Prediction:
I’m taking Watford here, Josh King caught fire last weekend and usually guys that do that score again for the next couple of starts afterwards. They also battered Everton last week who are a better side than Southampton and with Southampton struggling to score from open play away from home, I can’t see them scoring more than once here. I think Ranieri is building confidence in this team all of a sudden and they can win this game 3-1.
Watford 3-1 Southampton
Tottenham vs Manchester United
Odds: Spurs – 15/8 Draw – 13/5 United – 11/8
My Prediction:
Both teams are an absolute disaster at the moment but I’m leaning towards Spurs just because they are better at the back right now than United. They’re probably going to need a day where Kane bothers to try which have been rare this season but if he does then this is a great matchup for Spurs. United have historically been unable to stop Son so he should have a good game again here and Spurs can get a few goals here in a big win.
Spurs 3-1 Man United
Norwich vs Leeds United
Odds: Norwich – 12/5 Draw – 5/2 Leeds – 11/10
My Prediction:
Leeds haven’t impressed me this season but they at least are getting guys back from injury. It seems like Raphinha will be fit for this game and they should be getting Kalvin Phillips back to improve the midfield. That should be enough to beat Norwich who don’t look any nearer finding the net lately and were abysmal at the back against Chelsea. This game will be much closer than 7-0, but I see another loss to nil here for Norwich.
Norwich 0-2 Leeds
Aston Villa vs West Ham
Odds: Villa – 7/4 Draw – 5/2 West Ham – 6/4
My Prediction:
West Ham look the way to go in this one. They’ve kept a few clean sheets in a row quietly while Villa have conceded 6 in their last 2 league games, it looks like they’ve regressed from last season and they were really poor against Arsenal last Friday. Antonio got back in the goals last week and I expect him to score again in this game in a West Ham win.
Aston Villa 1-2 West Ham
Wolves vs Everton
Odds: Wolves – 6/5 Draw – 11/5 Everton – 5/2
My Prediction:
I see this being a draw. Wolves weren’t great against Leeds last week and though they conceded late to draw, it was a fair result. Everton were obviously dreadful last week but good managers usually find a way to pick up their players again and the way they lost felt more like an aberration than the start of a long term meltdown. I don’t expect this to be a particularly good game and it can be another 1-1 draw.
Wolves 1-1 Everton
