Premier League Predictions Round 11

Hey everyone, I’m back for another round of Premier League Predictions. Last week was really poor on my end but I feel a lot of people will have been caught cold by some of the results, especially the Man City and Liverpool ones. I’m hoping this week will be a lot better and without further ado, here are my predictions for round 11 of the Premier League season.

Southampton vs Aston Villa

Odds: Southampton – 1/1 Draw – 5/2 Villa – 14/5

My Prediction:

I’m taking Southampton here. They were much improved at the back last week against a Watford side that were coming off a 5 goal performance and with Villa being woeful at the back as of late, I can see them scoring the goals they’ll need to win this one. Despite Villa’s struggle for form, they have been scoring goals so I like both teams to score here and Southampton to win with Redmond playing a starring role.

Southampton 3-1 Villa

Man United vs Man City

Odds: Man United – 15/4 Draw – 3/1 Man City – 7/10

My Prediction:

United have consistently played well against Man City over the last few years and with City currently having a dip in form, I can see this being a draw. I’m not sold on the defence of either team and with all of the attacking quality on show, this should be a high scoring game. Ronaldo will likely play a starring role for United and I can see City doing a lot of damage down the right hand side with Cancelo likely to be dangerous and providing for the forwards.

Man United 2-2 Man City

Brentford vs Norwich

Odds: Brentford – 4/7 Draw – 3/1 Norwich – 5/1

My Prediction:

Brentford are coming off their worst performance of the season but they have the perfect get right game here. Norwich have consistently shown nothing away from home and have yet to score away from Carrow Road. I can see that continuing as Brentford are a better coached team and their squad looks far more Premier League worthy than Norwich at the moment. I expect Brentford to grind out a win here in what will probably be a cagey affair.

Brentford 1-0 Norwich

Chelsea vs Burnley

Odds: Chelsea – 1/4 Draw – 5/1 Burnley – 10/1

My Prediction:

Burnley are a much improved team as of late with Cornet starting to come into his own and looking a high class player. Unfortunately for them I don’t think it will be enough to get a result here. Chelsea are so hard to break down at the back and have enough going forward to score a few goals against this Burnley defence. Burnley have had issues against right sided players so look for James and Mount to have a good day in this one.

Chelsea 3-0 Burnley

Crystal Palace vs Wolves

Odds: Crystal Palace – 29/20 Draw – 11/5 Wolves – 2/1

My Prediction:

These sides are extremely well matched and in good form so this should be an intriguing affair. I’m going to take Crystal Palace though. Wolves may be slightly more talented on the whole but they’ve been leaking big chances over the last few games despite winning and while Palace have only given up 1 in their last 2 games. That defensive solidity should mean they can get a clean sheet here and with Zaha and Gallagher in form, I like them to pick up a 2-0 win.

Palace 2-0 Wolves

Brighton vs Newcastle

Odds: Brighton – 4/7 Draw – 29/10 Newcastle – 5/1

My Prediction:

Brighton were extremely impressive last week and showed their new found grit to get a result out of a very tough game. I see them building on that here with a win. Newcastle lack Premier League quality in their squad and are effectively limping towards January where they’ll have to splash the cash and hope they hit the mark with their signings. I potentially do see Callum Wilson nicking a goal in this game though, Brighton have been sloppy at the back in the last couple of games and I’m not sure they’re ready to keep a clean sheet again just yet. But they have enough quality going forward to score a couple of goals and get the win here.

Brighton 2-1 Newcastle

Arsenal vs Watford

Odds: Arsenal – 4/9 Draw – 15/4 Watford – 15/2

My Prediction:

This is a weird one for me. Arsenal did get a nice win last week but still gave up a lot of big chances and only kept a clean sheet due to a superhuman performance from Ramsdale. I’d normally look to take a team on after that sort of game but I’m still taking them here purely because they’re a better side than Watford. Watford were incredibly flat last week coming off their best performance of the season and don’t look like a team that are able to find consistency in their performances. I think they’ll score here but I don’t trust them enough at the back to get a result and with Arsenal having a few of their attacking players in scoring form, they can get 3 goals here and win comfortably.

Arsenal 3-1 Watford

Everton vs Tottenham

Odds: Everton – 21/10 Draw – 9/4 Spurs – 11/8

My Prediction:

I really wanted to take on Tottenham this weekend. They weren’t great last night against Vitesse considering they were near full strength but they’re playing an Everton side who are a disaster at the moment. They have a ridiculous number of injuries and their defence has completely fallen apart, they look like conceding 3 in almost every game and they don’t have the attacking talent to compensate for it while Calvert-Lewin is out. I’m going to take a draw here with limited confidence, both teams are really poor at the moment and while Spurs are the more likely winners, I’m not comfortable betting them until they show marked improvement.

Everton 1-1 Spurs

Leeds vs Leicester

Odds: Leeds – 9/5 Draw – 5/2 Leicester – 29/20

My Prediction:

Leeds are mostly over their injury crisis which plagued the start of their season and are only missing Bamford of their key players now. Leicester meanwhile have just been heavily inconsistent all year and have suddenly fallen back into another slump in form. They’re struggling to put away chances and that might cost them in this game, Leeds do tend to give away big chances but if Leicester aren’t able to find the net, it doesn’t matter. Leeds can create enough here to win and I expect them to do most of their damage in the first half with Leicester potentially coming out flat after a poor performance on Thursday night.

Leeds 2-1 Leicester

West Ham vs Liverpool

Odds: West Ham – 15/4 Draw – 3/1 Liverpool – 7/10

My Prediction:

West Ham have lost 2 out of 3 games this season after playing on a Thursday night and their only win was against a Spurs side that also played on the Thursday before the matchup. I think this issue plagues them again here as they face a Liverpool side that have a bonus day of rest compared to them and also played in a game that was only competitive for 45 minutes. I can see West Ham struggling at the back in this one and though I can see them scoring, they’ll lose this game comfortably.

West Ham 1-3 Liverpool
