Premier League Gameweek 10 Previews and Predictions

Bournemouth vs Leicester

Odds: Bournemouth – 13/5 Draw – 12/5 Leicester – 21/20

My Prediction:

A lot of money has come for Leicester but I’m backing a draw here. Leicester are massively outperforming their XG which suggests a dropoff in goal output and Bournemouth are undefeated against teams outside of “the big 6”, I’ll take a 1-1 draw here in a cagey game.

Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester

Chelsea vs Wolves

Odds: Chelsea – 2/5 Draw – 7/2 Wolves – 7/1

My Prediction:

Wolves are a dreadful attacking side, and though I believe they’ll have enough joy in midfield to frustrate Chelsea, Chelsea’s attacking players are mostly in decent form at the moment and I’d expect at least one of them to break through and get the goal it should take to win this game, this may not be a classic, but Chelsea can grind out the win.

Chelsea 1-0 Wolves

Man City vs Southampton

Odds: Man City – 1/9 Draw – 9/1 Southampton – 16/1

My Prediction:

Southampton have improved at the back and have a decent historical record against City, but I can’t see them getting a result here. That defensive improvement though may be enough to stop them from getting humiliated here so I’ll take a 3-0 win for Man City in this one.

Man City 3-0 Southampton

Newcastle vs Brentford

Odds: Newcastle – 3/4 Draw – 3/1 Brentford – 10/3

My Prediction:

Brentford have put in 2 lacklustre performances in a row and that Newcastle performance last week may have blown the lid off of their goalscoring issues. I fancy Newcastle to take this one 2-0 given Brentford haven’t been the greatest away side so far this season.

Newcastle 2-0 Brentford

Brighton vs Tottenham

Odds: Brighton – 9/5 Draw – 12/5 Spurs – 6/4

My Prediction:

Fair play to Brighton for their performance last week, I thought they would struggle without Potter but they were very unlucky not to win at Anfield and can go into this game full of confidence. Spurs will be less confident going into this one but they are able to grind out a result and I can see them letting Brighton dominating possession and scraping a 1-1 draw on the counter.

Brighton 1-1 Spurs

Crystal Palace vs Leeds

Odds: Palace – 21/20 Draw – 5/2 Leeds – 13/5

My Prediction:

Both teams are out of form heading into this one, I’m going to take Palace to scrape a win though as they are a solid team and I expect them to get going at some point soon. This is the start of a good run of fixtures and they’re always a tough side to beat at home, I hate the price but I will pick them for the purpose of a prediction.

Palace 2-1 Leeds

West Ham vs Fulham

Odds: West Ham – 8/11 Draw – 14/5 Fulham – 15/4

My Prediction:

Fulham have been extremely poor at the back as of late while West Ham have found some defensive solidity, I expect that to be the difference between these sides and with Mitrovic being out, Fulham will struggle to score the goals needed to keep up with their defensive issues and could go on a bit of a losing run now.

West Ham 2-0 Fulham

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Odds: Arsenal – 6/4 Draw – 13/5 Liverpool – 13/8

My Prediction:

I’ve given Liverpool a lot of chances but they are clearly just a weaker side this season. I believe Arsenal are better at the back and especially in midfield than Liverpool and that Liverpool will seriously struggle here. I expect both teams to score but for Arsenal to win fairly comfortably.

Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool

Everton vs Manchester United

Odds: Everton – 13/5 Draw – 5/2 Man United – 21/20

My Prediction:

If Calvert-Lewin was fit here, I’d pick Everton to win. But given he’s going to make an appearance off the bench at most and that United are having a lot of joy in front of goal as of late, I’m going to take United to win this one fairly comfortably.

Everton 0-2 Man United
