Premier League Gameweek 11 Previews and Predictions

Brentford vs Brighton

Odds: Brentford – 2/1 Draw – 12/5 Brighton – 27/20

My Pick:

I could see this game going any of the 3 ways with the more likely winner being Brighton and this game is fairly priced up. But Brighton haven’t won in a few games and until they can regain that winning thread or play a weaker side than Brentford, I can’t pick them confidently here. I’ll take this to be a 1-1 and a game not to bet.

Brentford 1-1 Brighton

Leicester vs Crystal Palace

Odds: Leicester – 13/10 Draw – 12/5 Palace – 21/10

My Pick:

I quite like Palace in this one. They’ve been sneakily good away from home in 3 tough assignments so far and with Leicester only having a win against Forest on their resume so far this year. I can see Palace getting the upset as they will be well drilled and the fans are turning on Rodgers at Leicester.

Leicester 1-2 Palace

Fulham vs Bournemouth

Odds: Fulham – 5/6 Draw – 11/4 Bournemouth – 13/5

My Pick:

Bournemouth have found a way to get a result against all of the non-top teams they’ve played so far and with doubts over the fitness of Mitrovic here, they could get another one. Fulham lead the league in XG conceded and I can’t trust a team with that poor of a defence at odds on, I’ll take an exciting 2-2 draw.

Fulham 2-2 Bournemouth

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest

Odds: Wolves – 7/10 Draw – 11/4 Forest – 9/2

My Pick:

You could make a case for these sides being the worst 2 in the league at the moment. Wolves can’t score goals but Forest can’t stop conceding them, I still like the midfield of Wolves and I’m willing to give them one more chance in a game they have to win or they could be in with a big shout of going down.

Wolves 1-0 Forest

Tottenham vs Everton

Odds: Spurs – 9/20 Draw – 7/2 Everton – 11/2

My Pick:

I have to take Spurs here, they have in-form forwards and do well historically at home to Everton. I do think Everton will score though and they could make a game of it for a while. But I expect Spurs to pull away for a 3-1 win.

Spurs 3-1 Everton

Aston Villa vs Chelsea

Odds: Villa – 10/3 Draw – 11/4 Chelsea – 4/5

My Pick:

Villa don’t score goals and Chelsea have been good at grinding out results away from home lately. They look better defensively under Potter and should have the attacking threat to score the 2 goals they’ll need to win this one. For some reason, I have a strange feeling Villa get a goal but eventually fall to a 2-1 defeat.

Villa 1-2 Chelsea

Leeds vs Arsenal

Odds: Leeds – 5/1 Draw – 16/5 Arsenal – 11/20

My Pick:

I expect a comfortable win for Arsenal here, Leeds have been terrible recently and Arsenal have been more defensively solid away than at home. Leeds give up plenty of chances to strikers so Jesus should be the one to do the damage here having missed out on scoring last week. Arsenal can win this one to nil.

Leeds 0-3 Arsenal

Man United vs Newcastle

Odds: Man United – 10/11 Draw – 11/4 Newcastle – 11/4

My Pick:

Newcastle’s attacking profile is the kind that United should defend well against. I expect them to get a confidence boosting win in the Europa League today and build on that at the weekend. Ronaldo has an excellent record against Newcastle and he can get the winner in a 1-0 win for United.

Man United 1-0 Newcastle

Southampton vs West Ham

Odds: Southampton – 19/10 Draw – 12/5 West Ham – 7/5

My Pick:

Southampton are on a terrible run of form but West Ham have not been great away from home in the league so far. They struggle to score goals and they may end up getting held here because of it. I think the prices are fair so I wouldn’t bet this game and I can see it being a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool vs Man City

Odds: Liverpool – 3/1 Draw – 16/5 Man City – 4/5

My Pick:

Liverpool got a bounceback win against Rangers but they still look shaky at the back. I think Konate will improve things eventually but their fullbacks are struggling defensively and Klopp keeps making head-scratching midfield choices. City meanwhile got a full rest into some of their team in midweek and it’s clear Pep is prioritising this game, I expect City to win now they’re fully rolling and win quite easily.

Liverpool 1-3 Man City
