Brighton vs Nottingham Forest
Odds: Brighton – 4/11 Draw – 4/1 Forest – 13/2
My Pick:
Brighton are an excellent defensive side at home and with Forest being dreadful at the back away from home, this looks set up to be a comfortable home win. Forest have probably conceded a couple of more goals away from home than they should’ve so they can keep the score respectable but it will be a comfortable home win.
Brighton 2-0 Notts Forest
Crystal Palace vs Wolves
Odds: Palace – 6/5 Draw – 21/10 Wolves – 12/5
My Pick:
This for me will be 1-0 Palace or 0-0. I like the improvement from Wolves in midfield when Neves and Nunes are both fit so maybe they can dominate in that area of the game. I just worry they don’t finish chances though and maybe could end up stuck in a frustrating draw. Palace didn’t really create anything at the weekend against a poor Leicester defence so let’s go for 0-0 here.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Wolves
Bournemouth vs Southampton
Odds: Bournemouth – 13/8 Draw – 23/10 Southampton – 13/8
My Pick:
Southampton have been terrible away from home as of late and though they improved a bit against West Ham, they were still fortunate to get a draw. Bournemouth have been very clinical as of late and that extra bit of attacking edge they have can make the difference here.
Bournemouth 2-1 Southampton
Brentford vs Chelsea
Odds: Brentford – 15/4 Draw – 14/5 Chelsea – 8/11
My Pick:
Chelsea won at the weekend but were not impressive in doing so. This came against a Villa side lacking in confidence and the same can’t be said about Brentford after their win on Friday. I can possibly see the upset happening but Potter has a perfect head to head record against Frank so I’ll go for a draw here.
Brentford 1-1 Chelsea
Liverpool vs West Ham
Odds: Liverpool – 2/5 Draw – 4/1 West Ham – 6/1
My Pick:
West Ham have surprisingly been one of the better defensive sides this season away from home, but they haven’t played any of the big teams yet and their situation at centre back is very concerning. Liverpool meanwhile got a huge win against Man City, will this be them turning the corner? I expect them to win this one due to the West Ham injury situation but I still have concerns about their defence and can see this being a tight game.
Liverpool 2-1 West Ham
Newcastle vs Everton
Odds: Newcastle – 3/5 Draw – 14/5 Everton – 19/4
My Pick:
I expect this to be a tough game for Newcastle, but they are in decent form at the moment and have started scoring again at home, Everton will put up a stubborn resistance and I expect them to score. But Newcastle can win this one 2-1.
Newcastle 2-1 Everton
Manchester United vs Spurs
Odds: United – 29/20 Draw – 5/2 Spurs – 7/4
My Pick:
The prices are probably fair for this one. Spurs struggle more defensively away from home than at home and this feels like a 1-1 sort of game. United are going through a tough patch but their performance was ok at the weekend, I worry that their finishing struggles of recent times will cost them the 3 points in a matchup like this one.
Man United 1-1 Spurs
Fulham vs Aston Villa
Odds: Fulham – 19/10 Draw – 23/10 Villa – 6/4
My Pick:
Villa are actually playing better at the moment than in recent times and this is a good opportunity against the worst defensive side in the league. With the quality of forwards they have, it’s a big surprise they haven’t scored more but the move to a front 3 seemed to work on Sunday and I can see them building on that here with a 2-1 win.
Fulham 1-2 Villa
Leicester vs Leeds
Odds: Leicester – 5/4 Draw – 13/5 Leeds – 2/1
My Pick:
Leicester will be missing their main creative output here with Maddison suspended and I like Leeds to win this one. They were excellent against Arsenal and just missed that clinical edge, that shouldn’t continue here and I’m going to take a 2-0 win for Leeds.
Leicester 0-2 Leeds
